Abouat Use

Yes, especially when carrying a heavy load over long distances for extended periods, relying solely on our legs for support can easily lead to fatigue and joint damage. Although proper walking technique can minimize muscle and joint injuries, using trekking poles is like walking on four limbs. This can transfer 20-30% of your body weight to your upper body, effectively reducing the load on your lower limbs and preventing excessive wear and tear or injuries caused by loss of balance, conserve your energy. It makes hiking and mountaineering easier.

Sure, that's a personal preference. For very short trips, using a single pole is fine. However, for long-distance hikes and when carrying a heavy load, a single pole won't be able to balance your body weight as effectively. This can lead to an imbalance in your center of gravity, affecting your gait and how your body distributes weight.

The most important thing before use is to tighten the metal knobs as much as possible and securely lock the metal lever to prevent slippage. During use, pay attention to the length adjustment. When your arm forms a 90-degree angle with the trekking pole, it's the most energy-efficient position. Additionally, you can adjust the length based on whether you're going uphill, downhill, or on a slope. For example, when going uphill, you can quickly shorten the poles to avoid overextending your arms, providing better support and balance.

DO NOT LUBRICATE ANY PART!!! Except the tungsten steel tip. Just simple wipe off dust and dirt using clean cloth or napkin.

Generally, you can easily adjust the length by subtracting 50-55cm (20-22 inches) from your height. Example: [A 180cm (71-inch) tall guy] - [50-55cm (20-22 inches)] = [125-130cm (49-51 inches)]
However, it's best to experiment and find the length that feels most comfortable and supports your posture.
